OF THOSE ALONE, an autobiography by Robert Hutton. The story of an unashamed and unrepentant homosexual bom in England a generation ago, who traveled the world, and leamed to accept his homosexuality although it got him. In trouble, and was a factor in his resort to alcohol. Altogether an informative and important contribution to the literature on this subject. Moreover, it is interesting to read. 3.50

THE GODS OF LOVE by T. Clifton Longworth. With 32 pages of illustrations, this scholarly work is a valuable reference for any collector of books on sex and religion, etc. The "creative process" has always been a preoccupation of cultures everywhere, and religious worship has always been centered around it. Ancient lands studied include Great Britain, Cyprus, Old Testament lands, Christian kingdoms, Roman empire, Pacific islands, the Americas, etc. 6.50 THE GOOD WIFE by Aurelia Levi. Novel of a woman and mother who was surrounded by a circle of oddballs. Her husband was domineering and brutal; into their loveless marriage had come two sons, both social misfits. One was an angry rebel; the other a delinquent with a rare genius for obscenity and outrage. Then the mother falls in love with another young man and discovers the depths of degradation into which she and her family had sunk. 3.50

THE FEATHERS OF DEATH by Simon Raven. Swiftly moving story of a brilliant young officer of a distinguished British regiment assigned to quell restive tribes in Africa. Under trying conditions, the officer's homosexual overtures to a lancer become the reason for a lengthy trial. But a brutal anti-climax follows the officer's acquittal 3.75

THE DEVIL'S AGENT by Hans Habe. Here is a novel of a Viennese adventurer who gets into the diplomatic service and complicates his career with divided loyalties, and homosexual as well as heterosexual escapades. Some of the trite and exaggerated situations fit the popular "security risk" concepts, but the story is fast-paced with action even if the protagonist won't be a hero to some 4.50 Dorian readers.

PECCATUM MUTUM (The Secret Sin) by Friar Ludovico Maria Sinistrari. Writ ted in the 17th Century, this is a lengthy "tract" about sodomy, its penalties and evils. Needless to say the practice was even more condemned then as now. But the exposition here is of primary interest to students seeking the source of 3.00 present attitudea about human sex practices.

CURRENT "BEST SELLERS"

YOUNGEST DIRECTOR by Martyn Goff, Satisfying novel of a young corporation executive on his way up in the firm, but torn between his true nature and the friendships which are meaningful, versus the command from his superiors that he must, many to present the proper image. He doesn't sail under false colors.
